Born in Payson, Utah, lived in Mapleton, moved to Ogden at age 13, and is a 29 year resident of Riverdale.

Educated: Nebo School district, Ogden City Schools, and Weber State University.

Along with his Mayor's duties he is currently a Chaplain for Vista Care Hospice. Formerly employed at Utah Power as a Senior Drafter with 23 years of service (accepted an early retirement in March of 2001).

Has been married to the former Cherie Allen for 25 years, they have 3 children, Mike (attending Weber State & Working for Young Chevrolet), Cathy (attending Weber State University, Working at Egbert Insurance Agency), Tami (attending Weber State and working at the Deaf & Blind School).

Bruce has 6 children, Robert, Richard, Randy, Kris, Ryan and Reese, and 13 Grandchildren, from a previous marriage, most living in Ohio.

Served for two terms on the City Council and has been Mayor 5 Years.
