FREE TAX HELP OFFERED FOR SENIORS
The AARP is offering free tax help for seniors at the Senior Center every Monday and Friday from 9:15 a.m.-2:00 p.m. beginning February 1st until April 9th. To participate, please sign up at the Center.
HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS AT THE SENIOR CENTER
Please join us for our Humanitarian Workdays on Mondays at 9:00 a.m. Our current project is diversion boxes for Pediatrics. Items that we need donated are: Shoebox type boxes, play dough, small stuffed animals, bubbles, crayons, small coloring books, small toys, small notepads, stickers, small puzzles, games, cars, and dolls (All items must fit inside the shoe box).
Anyone that is interested in helping by crocheting granny squares, afghans, and chemo hats, can pick up yarn and patterns at the Center. Please call 801-621-6086 and ask for Lois or Jan if you have any questions.
REQUEST FOR DONATIONS
We are now accepting donated items for our Yard Sale to be held Saturday, April 24th. It is a fundraiser to help support our senior programs.
SENIOR OF THE MONTH
Our March 'Senior of the Month' is Gayla Dye. Gayla teaches our Scrapbooking class. She is very talented, and has met many new friends volunteering at the center. Thank you Gayla for being 'Senior of the month,' and thank you for volunteering your time at the center.
SENIOR CENTER NEWS BRIEFS
- Do you like to Zumba? We are looking at starting a Zumba dance/exercise class. If you are interested, call the Center at 801-621-6086.
- New drawing and sketching class will begin April 6th at 10:00 a.m. Please sign up at the Center.
- Volunteer teachers needed for porcelain doll class and craft class. If you can help, please talk to Mickie at the Center or call 801-621-6086.
- Are you looking for a gift? Visit our Trinkets and Treasures Gift Case at the front desk during the Senior Center hours.
AARP DRIVER SAFETY CLASS OFFERED
The next AARP Drivers Safety Course will be held March 16th from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., with a 1 hour lunch. Cost is $12 for AARP members (must have card with you) and $14 for non-members. The course qualifies for an auto insurance discount.

Wii PLAY
Come play the Nintendo Wii at the Center. You can play tennis, golf, bowling, baseball, and boxing. We also have the Wii Fit!
MEDICAL INFORMATION DEVICE OFFERED
The Senior Center is offering an emergency personal medical information device for senior citizens and Riverdale residents. The device is a flash drive that contains a medical information template to record information to share with medical professionals in an emergency. The cost is $10.00 each. Stop by the Center or all 621-6086 to place your order.
FOOT CLINIC OFFERED AT SENIOR CENTER
Ensure that your feet stay in good health by attending the Foot Clinic. It is offered the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 12:30 pm by Registered Nurses from Health Watch and Caring Hands. Cost: $5.00 per person. The nurses soak your feet, clip your toenails, massage your feet and look for foot disorders.
