Sports Tournaments

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament - June 29th
Our annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will take place on June 29th (Friday) 4:30 pm at the Community Center. There will be the following divisions: Girls 13-17, Women 18-up, Boys 13-17, and Men 18-up. Four players per team. Pre-registration is required by June 25th. Register online at the link below. Free event!
Co-ed Volleyball Tournament - June 30th
The volleyball tournament is set for Saturday, June 30th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This free tournament will be at the Community Center for those ages 16 and older. Get a team together of 3 men and 3 women and come play! The tournament is limited to 8 teams, so register early! Each team will receive six T-shirts. No charge. Register by June 26th (pre-registration is required). Register in person at the Community Center or online at the link below. Free event!
Golf Tournament - June 30th
The annual golf tournament will be held at Schneiter's Riverside Golf Course on June 30th.. For those wishing to participate please contact the golf course at 801-399-4636 for additional information and registration.

Baby Contest
If you have little ones, enter them in our annual Baby Contest on Monday, July 2nd! There will be two age groups and judging times - 6 to 13 months at 5:00 p.m. & 14 to 24 months at 6:00 p.m. Participation is free. Open to children who live in Riverdale only (non-residents and businesses not eligible). The event will take place at the Community Center.

Movie in the Park
JULY 3rd - Join us for the movie 'The Greatest Showman' and ice cream in Riverdale Park. Ice cream served at 8:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 9:30 p.m. This is a free event!

Sunrise Service
The Sunrise Service and Flag Raising Ceremony will be at 7:00 a.m. in Riverdale Park at the amphitheater. Our speaker is Matt Jensen.

Lions Club Breakfast
Join us for the most important meal of the day from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.! The Lions Club will hold their annual charity fundraiser breakfast at the Riverdale Park north bowery. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. All proceeds go to charity.

5K Run/Walk
Get your exercise in early by joining the 5K Run/Walk at the Fire Department parking lot, 4334 S. Parker Drive. The run starts at 7:00 a.m. and the walk starts right after the runners.

There will also be a Kids K (8 yrs & younger) and a Kids Mile (14 yrs and younger) that will begin at 8:00 am.

The cost is $10.00 for all participants (includes t-shirt if registered by June 25th). Flat "Household Rate" is $40 for 4+ people. Participants must pre-register. Closing date for registration is July 2nd.
NO registrations will be allowed the day of the race!

Old Glory Days Parade

The Children’s Pedals & Paws Parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. (children 8 years and under must be accompanied by a parent). Those participating can go to the Community Center parking lot on July 3rd at 6:00 p.m. to decorate their bikes.

The Old Glory Days Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. The parade route begins on 700 W. at 4250 S. running south to 4400 S., then west along 4400 S. to Parker Drive and then north to the park. Please keep children to the sides away from entries.

NEW - BIKE VALET
Are you tired of fighting the traffic to attend the parade on the 4th of July in Riverdale? Are you looking for a better way to travel around as you celebrate the holiday? Park your bike at the bike valet located behind Riverdale Elementary School. Ogden Bike Collective is setting up bike racks and they will check your bike in and keep is safe while you enjoy the events. This service is provided free of cost for you! Please support our efforts in providing this service.

Booths / Concessions
From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the booths and concessions will be open offering games, food, and fun in Riverdale Park. Bring the family and enjoy the day.

Kids Games
Free children's games for ages 11 and under will be held in the upper park area from 11:00 a.m. to noon. There will be prizes and fun for all!

Entertainment
Entertainment has been lined up at the amphitheater for your enjoyment from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Countdown will perform from 11:00-12:30 p.m. and Pressure & Time will perform from 1:00-2:30 p.m.

Fireworks Extravaganza
Fireworks are the perfect way to end a day of celebration! The city will set the night sky on fire with our annual fireworks display. The show will begin at 10:00 p.m. Come early to enjoy music and find a good spot!
