CREWS SWITCH TRAFFIC TO SOUTH SIDE OF RIVERDALE ROAD
Crews have rotomilled the existing asphalt from the north side of Riverdale Road and will continue excavation this week. Please note that traffic has been switched to the south side of the roadway however there still remain two lanes open in each direction during daylight hours, a center turn lane and that traffic is expected to flow smoothly through the area.

The right hand turn lanes in some instances are not available so maintain a safe following distance to avoid collisions. Traffic will be closely monitored as we implement the traffic switch and adjustments will be made as needed to ensure minimal traffic impacts.

You may be interested to know what is happening in the large field just south of the Motel 6. This is where Granite Construction has positioned their "pre-cast" yard to manufacture most of the concrete components that will go into the new I-84 bridge. Because of the quick construction schedule, it became an obvious solution in order for Granite to control the timeline for the project. Currently bridge abutments, vertical slabs and parapets are being formed at the yard.
