It is with sincere and heartfelt sadness to post that Riverdale City Council Member Steve Hilton passed away unexpectedly yesterday. Councilor Hilton had served on the City Council since 2020 and was recently reelected to his Council seat. Prior to serving on the City Council, he served for eight years on the Riverdale Planning Commission. He was a resident of Riverdale for more than 40 years. He had a great love for our community and served our citizens well. He will be greatly missed. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Funeral services have been announced for Riverdale City Council Member Steve Hilton. The viewing will be held at the Riverdale LDS Stake Center on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm located at 4000 Parker Dr. Ogden, UT 84405. The funeral will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 11:00 am with a viewing preceding from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the Riverdale LDS Stake Center.

COUNCILOR STEVE HILTON
My family and I have lived and worked in Riverdale for forty years. I have three daughters who all went to Riverdale Elementary and graduated from Bonneville.
I retired for America First Credit Union where I was the manager of technology research and development. I have a degree in Computer Information Systems from Weber State University.
I have served Riverdale for eight years on the Planning Commission where many important decisions are made regarding development and land use in our city.
I love Riverdale. I want our city to remain a great place to live and work. I am determined to have Riverdale grow in a way that respects who we are as neighbors while keeping our neighborhoods quiet and friendly and our businesses thriving.
Riverdale is a great community with deep roots, friendly neighbors, great businesses and excellent city services. I believe we must all work together to keep Riverdale great.
