Riverdale City Police Department
Message from Chief Casey Warren
Riverdale City Police Department The Riverdale City Police Department proudly serves a vibrant community of over 9,000 residents. Every day, our city welcomes a significant influx of visitors and workers, drawn to our thriving commercial district and strategic location. Our department is composed of 21 sworn police officers, one code enforcement officer, one animal control officer, and two civilian support staff. Our officers serve in a variety of specialized roles across several divisions, including Patrol, Investigations, School Resource, K-9, Traffic, Motors, SWAT, NOVA, Narcotics, and the Crash Team. Our mission is to exceed expectations through honor, integrity, professionalism, and service to all members of our community. We take great pride in our community partnerships and work proactively with citizens and local businesses to address concerns and find effective solutions. Riverdale is divided into several precincts, with officers assigned to specific areas. This structure supports our commitment to community policing, where officers build meaningful relationships within their neighborhoods to promote safety and trust. Every summer, our officers host dozens of community block parties and barbecues, helping strengthen these vital community bonds. At the Riverdale Police Department, we believe everything is our job. We’re here not only to protect, but to serve—with dedication, compassion, and a problem-solving mindset. Our goal is to respond to calls for service and resolve issues in a way that enhances the quality of life for everyone in Riverdale City. We also collaborate closely with the Fire Department, Public Works, City Administration, Recreation Department, Elected Officials, neighboring jurisdictions, and many other partners. This teamwork ensures we can provide the highest level of service across every part of our community. Together, we can continue building a safer, stronger Riverdale for all. Sincerely, Chief Casey Warren |
