VETERANS DAY PROGRAM 2022
We are pleased to announce the return of our annual in-person Veterans Day ceremony. Riverdale City will hold a special Veterans Day ceremony on Friday, November 11th at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Riverdale Veterans Memorial located in front of the Riverdale Civic Center, 4600 South Weber River Drive.
Our special guest speaker will be Colonel Matthew M. Fritz, Commander, 419th Fighter Wing. Musical numbers will be provided by Bonneville High School. The flag raising will be done by members of the Utah Military Academy.
Due to limited seating, please bring a folding lawn chair if you wish to sit during the ceremony. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the annual Riverdale City Veterans Day Program was held in person this year. However, a special recorded ceremony was posted (above).
Our guest speaker was Brigadier General Cauley Von Hoffman, Commander of the Air Logistics Complex at Hill AFB. The program also includes musical numbers from the T. H. Bell Junior High School choir and the Mt. Ogden Brass.
We invite and encourage all to watch our virtually Veterans Day program as we honor those who have served our country through military service.
ENGRAVED TILES: Riverdale Veterans past and present, may purchase an individual tile to be placed at the Veterans Memorial in front of the Civic Center or choose to have their name added to the memorial on a common tile at no cost. For either option, please visit the Riverdale Senior Center, 4433 South 900 West, and fill out an order form or contact the Senior Center at 801-621-6086.
Veterans names and associated service information can be included on a purchased tile. There are two sizes of tiles to choose from: 4"x8" - cost is $50 or 8"x8" - cost is $100. Despite the chilly morning, more than 300 people turned out for the dedication of the Riverdale City Veterans Memorial held on Veterans Day, November 11, 2010. The patriotic service stirred the emotions of those in attendance.
We would like to thank the Veterans Committee for their work in putting together the dedication program and thank all those who participated and attended. We express gratitude to the many businesses and individuals who have made donations toward the building of the memorial.
