FIREWORKS / FIRE RESTRICTIONS
By order of the Riverdale Fire Department, each year fireworks restrictions are in place in high fire risk areas within the city. The areas include all land east of the Weber River on the south end of the city and extending north to include all areas east of 700 West to the River Glen subdivision. The restrictions include the east bench area of the city extending from the south border north to the 300 West and Riverdale Road intersection. An area along the southwest bench is also included in the fireworks restrictions.
In addition to the fireworks restriction there will be no open fires, no open flames, no cigarettes, and no electronic cigarettes allowed in public spaces along the Weber River corridor including the trail system. The restrictions have been put in place due to high fire danger in these areas and remain in effect throughout the year.

CITIZEN NOTICE
DISCHARGE OF CONSUMER FIREWORKS
RIVERDALE CITY DISCOURAGES THE USE OF FIREWORKS
Riverdale City urges our citizens to use extreme caution in discharging fireworks this holiday season and if possible, refrain from discharging fireworks in general. Dry vegetation around homes and other structures can be easily ignited, resulting in catastrophic loss of those structures.
Riverdale City will be sponsoring our “Old Glory Days” firework celebration on July 4, 2024, at Riverdale Park. This display is planned to begin around 10:00 p.m. and will be conducted by a licensed professional, with a permit approved by Riverdale City Fire Department. The Fire Department will be on hand during this show for the safety of our patrons. We encourage all our citizens to come join us celebrate America’s birthday at Riverdale Park.
