Our trash hauler is Robinson Waste.
When placing your trash container out for dumping, please follow these important instructions:
To add a second garbage can, a resident must purchase a new can from the city at the current cost plus $6.89 per month.
For questions on how to obtain a second trash container, or to call about broken containers, please call the City at 394-5541 ext. 1201.
TRANSFER STATION NEWS
The Transfer Station located at 867 Wilson Lane, Ogden, has added a new entry booth. If your load is under 500lb and you are paying with cash ($10), you can by-pass the scale house by using the new gate. You may also avoid waiting for trains by going down B Ave off 24th street to the new entrance.
Compost, mulch and colored wood chips can also be purchased for your landscaping needs. All wood products have been recycled from green waste. Visit their website www.webercountyutah.gov/Solid_Waste/ for more information or call 801-399-8360.
HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL
Weber County Transfer Station located at 867 W. Wilson Lane will accept household hazardous waste. For details please visit their website by clicking here.

We encourage all residents to make an effort to recycle. With strong participation from our residents we hope to recycle a large amount of waste that is now dumped into the landfill.

When placing your trash container out for dumping, please follow these important instructions:
- Always have your trash container at curbside by 6:00 a.m. on collection day.
- Place you container at curbside, facing the street. For those without a curb, place it within two feet of the blacktop.
- Do not place the container near parked vehicles. When dumping your container, the driver must have clear access to it.
- Do not place the container where it will block delivery of your mail.
- If you have two or more containers, place them four feet apart.
- Do not place the following items in your trash container: hot ashes or coals, large quantities of dirt, sod, rocks or concrete, flammable materials, large bulky items, construction, remodeling, or demolition debris.
- Do not place item of length greater than four feet in the container.
- Please remove your container off the street by the end of the day.

- Please only recycle plastics labeled as a #1 or #2 (the number is usually found on the bottom of a container).
- Plastic grocery bags are no longer accepted (they clog the sorting machines, however, you can take them to grocery stores who have recycling bins for them).
- Please do not put recyclables in plastic garbage bags, simply place them loose in the recycling bin.

Details of the recycling service are as follows:
- Place only acceptable recyclable materials in the recycle container (see list here PDF). Recyclable items can be co-mingled or mixed together in the container. Please ensure all boxes, cans, bottles, and cartons, are empty.
- The recycle can will be picked up on an every other week basis on Wednesday, the same as the current garbage pickup day. The recycle can and the garbage can will be picked up by different trucks at different times on pickup day.
- The city has been divided into two separate blue and red pickup routes with each route scheduled for pickup on an altering, every other week basis. A map of the routes can be viewed here (PDF). - Please have cans out to the curb by 6:00 a.m. or the night before. By combining recycling collection with the collection of regular garbage pickup, times may be altered.
- Place the container in the street with the wheels against the curb or within 2 feet of the blacktop if no curb exists, with the front of the container facing the street.
- Containers must be placed 5 feet apart and 8 feet from mailboxes, poles, fences, trees, or parked vehicles for easy access. Do not place cans under low trees or other overhead obstructions.
- The container has an inventory number which is assigned to each household. The container must remain on your property and be properly cared for.
- To add a second recycling can, a resident must purchase a new can from the city at the current cost plus $3.97 per month.
- If you have more than one garbage container (black), it is recommended that you keep the extra container until you determine exactly what your garbage service needs will be. This will save the city time and money in re-delivering garbage containers.
We encourage all residents to make an effort to recycle. With strong participation from our residents we hope to recycle a large amount of waste that is now dumped into the landfill.
