KEEP RIVERDALE LIT
As I have traveled around our neighborhoods, I have noticed a significant number of street lights that are either out or malfunctioning. Police Chief Brenkman said that the police officers “love light,” because it makes their jobs easier. More light has been shown to reduce crime and increase safety. I am asking the residents to help me in a new campaign called “Keep Riverdale Lit.” I want to empower the residents to report outages, and help to get them fixed. In general, our lights are serviced by either Rocky Mountain Power, Riverdale City, or Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). Our Public Works Director, Shawn Douglas, has agreed to help us by giving us contact information for a member of his department that can assist us.
If you are not sure who to contact, or just don’t want to deal with it, please contact either Angie or me, and we will start the process of getting the light working again. Together, we can work together to keep our City great.
Sincerely,
Braden D. Mitchell, Mayor
