Councilor Michael Richter
I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised with my brothers in Roy, Utah. My wife, Rebecca and I moved to Riverdale in 1994 and are proud to have raised three sons and one daughter in this wonderful city. As a Riverdale City resident for almost 30 years, I have experienced first hand, all the benefits that Riverdale has to offer.
Professionally, I have worked for Weber State University for 33 years and am currently the University Bursar, responsible for all student financial matters. I have served in leadership capacities in local, state and national organizations, including as the President of Utah Association of Student Loan Administrators, and steering committee member for Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organizations, advocating in Washington D.C. for student access to Higher Education.
I am passionate about safeguarding the strong community values that make Riverdale City such a wonderful place to live. My strong background in financial management will bring fiscal responsibility and transparency to city government. I am committed to assuring all citizens of Riverdale City have a voice in the important city matters that impact the lives of all Riverdale families.
